Tilia americana (American Basswood) is a species of tree in the family mallows. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to United States, The Contiguous United States, North America, Mexico, Eastern North America, and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Common Eastern Bumblebee, Silver-spotted Skipper, Two-spotted Bumblebee, and (page not found). Individuals can grow to 100 feet.
