Ochroma pyramidale (West Indian Balsa) is a species of tree in the family mallows. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Puerto Rico, Amazônia, The Neotropics, Acre (Brazil), and Pará. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by highland yellow-shouldered bat. Individuals can grow to 30 m.
