Pachira aquatica (Guiana Chestnut) is a species of tree in the family mallows. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Pará, Maranhao, Amazônia, and Afrotropics. They have compound, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by white-lined broad-nosed bat, Flat-faced Fruit-eating Bat, Brazilian Big-eyed Bat, and Little Yellow-shouldered Bat. Individuals can grow to 23 m.
