Viola pubescens (Downy Yellow Violet) is a species of perennial herb in the family Violaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves, yellow flowers, and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Osmia pumila, Carlin's Andrena, Lasioglossum coriaceum, and Nomada salicis. Individuals can grow to 1.3 feet.
