They are native to Eastern North America, Alaska, Western North America, Greenland, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, United States, Canada, and The Contiguous United States. They have purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Honey bee, Tapered Drone Fly, Tawny Mining Bee, and Stripe-backed Brusheye. Individuals can grow to 2 feet.
