Heracleum sphondylium (Eltrot) is a species of perennial herb in the family umbellifers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Western North America. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Ectemnius ruficornis, Diplonevra, Soldier fly, and Thaumatomyia. Individuals can grow to 1.1 m.
