While I photographed this species (
Lomatium latilobum) with fully developed seeds in Sept. of 2010 (it maintains its beautiful foliage through that time of year) and had the pleasure of seeing it on several other occasions, this was the first time since April of 1990 that I had been here early enough in the year to see this in bloom again and right on schedule. This rare, restricted endemic is one of my favorites for a number of reasons.More information about the species:
