Impatiens capensis (Jewelweed) is a species of annual herb in the family Balsaminaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Western North America, Canada, and North America. They have simple, broad leaves, yellow flowers, and loculicidal capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by (page not found), Syrphid fly, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, and Anthophora terminalis. Individuals can grow to 4.9 feet.
