Phlox hoodii (Spiny Phlox) is a species of perennial herb in the family Polemoniaceae. They are native to Canada, Alaska, The Contiguous United States, and United States. They have blue flowers. Flowers are visited by Vanessa cardui, Western White, Anthophora ursina, and Gray Hairstreak.
