Mertensia virginica (Virginia Bluebell) is a species of perennial herb in the family Boraginaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, and North America. They have simple, broad leaves and blue flowers. Flowers are visited by Two-spotted Bumblebee, Rusty patched bumble bee, Honey bee, and Coelioxys octodentata. Individuals can grow to 2.3 feet.
