Andropogon selloanus is a species of perennial herb in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Espirito Santo, Pampa, SãO Paulo, Tocantins, Pernambuco, GoiáS, Ceará, Sergipe, Amazônia, Roraima, Mata Atlântica, Caatinga, Bahia, Mato Grosso, Rio De Janeiro, Cerrado, Distrito Federal, Paraná, Pará, Rio Grande Do Norte, ParaíBa, Rio Grande Do Sul, Piauí, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Maranhao, Minas Gerais, and Santa Catarina. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.2 m.
