They are native to Maranhao, Ceará, ParaíBa, SãO Paulo, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Rio Grande Do Norte, Caatinga, GoiáS, Mato Grosso, Sergipe, Mata Atlântica, Brazil, Piauí, Cerrado, Distrito Federal, and Bahia. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes.
