The Pacific Golden Chanterelle is a widely hunted and collected species in the Pacific Northwest. This photo from the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia shows the complex patterns of the ribs.
This edible species is one of the "Hedgehogs" (toothed fungi). It is widespread with several subspecies and varieties. These are on Mt. Elphinsone, British Columbia.
