Caulescent, glabrous throughout. Leaves rhomboid, concave, strongly narrowed at base ; inflorescence a narrow erect panicle ; sepals narrow, very unequal ; corolla red, more
or less tinged with yellow in age, 5-angled.
Type locality : Oaxaca.
Distribution : Known only from the type locality.
