Carnus is a genus of fly in the Family Carnidae.

The genus Carnus has five described species. These species live generally in the Nearctic, but they can be found in the Palaearctic and the Oriental Regions.

The larvae of the genus grow up in various kinds of birds nests. Adults of this genus loose their wings and live hemiparastic on the infant and maturing baby birds.
