Polygala galeottii Chod. Mem. Soc. Phys Geneve 31(2)*: 28. 1893.
Stems simple or sparsely branched, slightly hirsute; leaves lanceolate, 2.8-4 cm. long, 1-1.4 cm. wide, attenuate at each end, acute, not cuspidate, ciliate and slightly hirsute-puberulent ; racemes puberulent, elongate, loose; pedicels 4 mm. long, puberulent; flowers 6 mm. long; sepals linear, acute; wings elliptic-obovate, slightly pubescent and ciliate, shorter than corolla; ovary pilose; capsule orbicular, hirsute-ciliate; seed 4 mm. long, rufous-hairy ; aril 2 mm. high, 2.8 mm. long on the dorsal margin, papery, crenate or undulate, scarcely lobed.
Type locality: Rancho de Haupa. between Jalapa and C6rdoba, Veracruz. Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
