Leaf-blades obovate, 3 cm. long or less, rounded or slightly emarginate and apiculate at the apex, revolute, sericeous when young, glabrous or nearly so in age, obtuse or acute at the base, short-petioled ; sepals ovate-lanceolate, about 3 mm. long, the glands over one half the length of the sepal-body; petals rose-colored, 5-6 mm. long, with suborbicular to orbicular-hastate or reniform blades ; samaras about 2.5 cm. wide, the dorsal wing obsolete.
Type locality : Central America. Distribution : Mexico and Central America.
