Description: English: First sighting of Lovebug in Botswana, Central District. These insects were first spotted at 20 November 2017 on a lawn of a farm house. Locals (dating back 76 years) confirm never to have seen these insects before. Early morning they cling to blades of grass in the shade. As soon as sun hits the spot they fly up and search for shade after which they die. They do not fly as a swarm, but congregate in their thousands. Date: 22 November 2017, 09:56:52. Source: Own work.
