Glaucium arabicum is a glaucous, pilose perennial herb that reaches up to 10-30 cm with simple or branched stems. Leaves are densely hairy; the lower leaves are 3-10 cm, pinnatipartite, with obovate-oblong lobes with dentate margins; while intermediate and upper leaves are 2-4 cm, and clasping. Flowers are with yellow petals and papillose-hairy sepals. The fruit is a straight, sparingly hairy to glabrous capsule that reaches up to 8-15 cm.
