Metrosideros umbellata (Southern Rātā) is a species of tree in the family myrtles. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Hawaiian Islands. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Tui. Individuals can grow to 15 m.
