Interorbital width equal to eye diameter (Ref. 34782). Absence of saddle-markings; with 5 unbranched pectoral-fin rays; 2 longitudinal stripes (Ref. 12693).

Inhabit high gradient streams. Like other members of the genus, it probably Feeds on benthic insects.
