Fruticulose below, many-stemmed, densely puberulous with subappressed hairs; leaves elliptic to oblong-oval or oval-ovate, 1.5-2 cm. long, 6-12 mm. wide, the uppermost sometimes oblong, retuse, obtuse, or acutish at apex, cuneate to rounded at base, subcoriaceous, reticulate below, rather densely pubescent both sides with short subappressed hairs; racemes loosely 4—8flowered, 2 cm. long; sepals subpersistent, ovate-lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, acuminate, 4 mm. long; wings obovate-oval, 5.5-6.5 mm. long, 2.8-3.5 mm. wide, obtuse or rounded, incurved-puberulous; keel greenish, 4.5 mm. long; capsule oval, incurved-puberulous and ciliolate, 6.5-7 mm. long; seed 4 mm. long; aril broadly scarious-margined, 3-lobed, the lateral lobes oblong, oblique, somewhat dilated at apex, the dorsal short, horizontal.
Type locality: " South America " [Mexico]. Distribution: San Luis Potosi and Hidalgo.
