Searsia kirkii (Oliv.) Moffett

kirkii: named after Dr John Kirk, who accompanied David Livingstone on his Zambezi expedition of 1858

Suffrutex or small shrub, usually less than 1.2 m. Leaves trifoliolate, markedly discolorous. Leaflets green and variously hairy above, yellowish-white and densely woolly below. Inflorescences terminal and axillary; flowers greenish or creamy white. Fruit a drupe, shiny cinnamon-brown when ripe.
