Mesosphaerum suaveolens (Pignut) is a species of shrub in the family Lamiaceae. They are climbers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to ParaíBa, Tocantins, Rio Grande Do Norte, Pernambuco, Bahia, Amazônia, Acre (Brazil), RondôNia, Roraima, Caatinga, Alagoas, Mato Grosso, Puerto Rico, Rio De Janeiro, Pantanal, Maranhao, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Piauí, Pará, Sergipe, Cerrado, SãO Paulo, GoiáS, Paraná, Mata Atlântica, Minas Gerais, Amapá, U.S. Virgin Islands, Ceará, Espirito Santo, and Distrito Federal. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by (page not found), Lime butterfly, common tiger, and Anthophora. Individuals can grow to 1.2 m.
