Anatrytonopsis cestus is a year-round resident in southern Arizona and into Mexico (Scott 1986). Habitats are mostly upper Sonoran zone foothills, in grassy thorn forest and open woodland. There are several flights each year with the approximate flight time April 15- May 15 and late Aug., at least (Scott 1986).
