Ischnocampa celer (Schaus)

Forewing 21.0 mm. Front of head greyish brown; vertex yellowish brown. Patagia with brown anterior spot; rest of thorax pale brownish yellow. Forewing pale brownish yellow, with yellowish brown markings. Hindwing greyish brown, becoming much paler toward base. Abdomen yellowish brown dorsally, with light yellow laterally, edged on extreme lateral margin of tergum with yellowish brown; ventrally light yellow, with medial yellowish brown areas on segments 4–7.
Described from an unspecified number of examples from “Rio Janeiro” [state of Rio de Janeiro], Brazil. There are no specimens in the USNM collection from the type-locality other than the lectotype.
