Vespula maculifrons (Eastern Yellowjacket) is a species of Hymenoptera in the family Vespidae. They are native to The Nearctic. They visit flowers of sweet fennel, trumpet creeper, Amur peppervine, and rhododendron. They are diurnal herbivores. Individuals can grow to 18 mm. They rely on flight to move around.
