The females and males are out in large numbers now. The males patrolling along the nesting sites and the females visiting a nearby patch of Tussilago. Salix will start flowering soon and become their main pollen source. It's all a bit early for the 59th parallel north. This is certainly one of the earliest starts of the spring season. Jelle Devalez
