Desmophyllum pertusum (Spider Hazards) is a species of cnidarians in the family caryophylliid corals. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are native to Ethiopia, The Nearctic, Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, the Palearctic, The Neotropics, Mediterranean Sea, and Pacific Ocean. Dead Spider Hazards form shallow marine sediments. They are nocturnal detritivores. They have asexual reproduction and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They are sessile animals.

Definition: Appendix II lists species that are not necessarily now threatened with extinction but that may become so unless trade is closely controlled.
