An appressed-canescent low shrub, with many intricate and angular stems which then become woody with age. The young branches are herbaceous, and canescent. The leaves are 2-foliolate with 0.5-1 cm, canescent, cylindrical, and deciduous leaflets. The flowers are white, solitary, and axillary. The fruit is a conspicuously winged capsule where the wings are broader than the capsule.
