Sedum divergens Greene, Pittonia 1 : 154. 1888. Not 5. divergens S. Wats, 1882.
Annual, roots fibrous. Plant 5-8 cm. high, divergently branched; leaves narrowly oval or oblong, 2-5 mm. long, two or three times as long as wide, obtuse, sessile by a somewhat broader base ; flowers solitary or in pairs at the ends of the branches, 8-10 mm. broad ; calyxsegments oblong-lanceolate, obtuse, about one-half as long as the oblonglinear obtuse, white or faintly pink petals.
Type locality : Higher Sierra Nevada back of the city of Durango, Mexico. Distribution : Known only from the type locality.
