Byrsonima oaxacana A. Juss. Ann. Sci. Nat. II. 13 : 332. 1840 Leaf-blades obovate, usually broadly so, or elliptic, 2-7 cm. long, rounded or retuse and sometimes minutely pointed at the apex, sparingly pubescent above, copiously gray-silky beneath, abruptly narrowed or acute at the base, short-petioled; panicle-rachis and pedicels tomeutulose ; sepals ovate or oblong-ovate, 4-5 mm. long, the glands about one half the length of the sepal-body; larger petals 8-10 mm. long; drupes globular, 9-11 mm. in diameter.
Tvpe locality : Mexico. Distribution : Southern Mexico.
