Leptasea funstonii Small, sp. no v
Leaves of the caudices 7-11 mm. long, parchment-like, crowded, more or less spreading, the blades linear to oblong-linear, spine-tipped, ciliate ; flower-stalks 6-9 cm. tall, sparingly glandular-pubescent or glabrous, bearing several leaves which are smaller than those of the caudices; sepals ovate to ovate-lanceolate, 1.5--3 mm. long, glabrous, obtuse; petals white or yellow-tinged, usually yellow-spotted, 7-8 mm. long, with elliptic or oval blades and narrow claws % or % sls long as the blades ; filaments subulate ; follicles 8.5-9.5 mm. long.
Type collected at Disenchantment Bay, Alaska, August 5, 1892, by Frederick Funston, no. 91. Distribution : Coast of Alaska and adjacent islands.
