Diagnosis: Mouth subinferior; barbels absent; lateral line complete; 24-27 scales in lateral line; 12 circumpeduncular scales; no spots on sides; tip of dorsal fin without black markings (Ref. 81639).Description: Medium-sized with elevated body (Ref. 81639). No barbels (Ref. 122753). Dorsal fin with 3 unbranched and 8 branched rays; anal fin with 3 unbranched and 5 branched rays; dorsal fin border concave, last simple ray smooth, measuring a maximum of 1 times head length (Ref. 81639). Scales with radial striae; 3.5 scales between lateral line and dorsal fin origin, 3.5 scales between lateral line and mid-belly, 3.5 scales between lateral line and pelvic fin insertion (Ref. 81639). Colouration: Ground colour yellowish brown dorsally, silvery ventrally; scales dark brown basally (Ref. 81639).
