Inula helenium (Elecampane) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Melissodes illatus, Eastern Carpenter Bee, Bombus lucorumterrestris, and Monarch. Individuals can grow to 1.4 m.
