Description: Iris macrosiphon (Bowltube iris) My wrong trail led down to a creek and seemed to end there but I crossed the creek and found a small trail (with footprints) about the size of a deer run. Sure enough, at the top of the hill I found a doe. To the left was the grassland in the next photo and to the right were some woods with this lily in the shadows at border between the grass and the woods. Monte Bello Open Space Preserve.
