They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves, white flowers, and drupe. Flowers are visited by Evodinus monticola, Ant-like longhorn beetle, and Bufflehead Mason Bee. Individuals can grow to 10 feet.
