Nymphaea alba (European White Waterlily) is a species of perennial herb in the family waterlilies. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Xylota sylvarum, Banded Meliscaeva, Honey bee, and Scathophaga litorea. Individuals can grow to 0.2 m.
