Portulacaria afra (Elephant Bush) is a species of shrub in the family Alluaudias, didiereas. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Southern Africa. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Honey bee, Lang's Short-tailed Blue, Deudorix antalus, and Streaky-headed Seedeater.
