Solanum viarum (Tropical Soda Apple) is a species of shrub in the family nightshades. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Amazônia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Paraná, SãO Paulo, Espirito Santo, West Indies, Cerrado, Acre (Brazil), Minas Gerais, Uruguay, Rio De Janeiro, Santa Catarina, Distrito Federal, Brazil, Argentina, Bahia, RondôNia, Pantanal, Rio Grande Do Sul, Pampa, Mata Atlântica, Mato Grosso, GoiáS, and Honduras. They have simple, broad leaves and berries. Individuals can grow to 0.3 m.
