Description of Podolampaceae
provided by BioPedia
Cells globular or dorsoventrally or laterally compressed. May, or may not, have peridinoid shape (with apical and 2 antapical horns). The cingulum is not distinct. Posterior to the equator of the cell there is a series of three broad plates which are interpreted as being homologous to the 3 cingular plates of other peridinialeans.
