Opuntia fragilis (Brittle Cactus) is a species of shrub in the family cacti. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, Western North America, and United States. Flowers are visited by Megachile onobrychidis, Ceratina neomexicana, Hoplitis sambuci, and Lasioglossum ebmerellum.
