Parasaurolophus

provided by EOL authors

Parasaurolophus was a herbivore in the Hadrosaur group. Hadrosaur means duck-billed lizards. Its beak looked like a duck's beak. It walked on two legs and used its arms to hold and grasp leafy ferns and other plants. It had a crest coming off its head that scientists believe made loud characterized honking sound or bellow. There are other types of dinosaurs in the Hadrosaur family that had crests that were in different positions on their heads.
