Aucher Eloy 4146, without mature fruits from S. Iran, was included under Physorrhynchus brahuicus by Boissier (l.c.) but O.E. Schulz (l.c.) included it under Physorrhynchus chamaerap¬istrum. This shows how difficult it is to separate the two species. The former species generally prefers stony and rocky habitat while the latter is found in sandy plateau.
