Pityrogramma calomelanos (Leather Leaf Gold Back Fern) is a species of perennial herb in the family Pteridaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mato Grosso Do Sul, SãO Paulo, GoiáS, Mata Atlântica, Espirito Santo, Paraná, Amazônia, Pernambuco, Distrito Federal, Rio De Janeiro, Rio Grande Do Sul, Santa Catarina, RondôNia, Sergipe, Alagoas, Piauí, Maranhao, Ceará, ParaíBa, Pará, Roraima, Mato Grosso, Caatinga, Cerrado, Rio Grande Do Norte, Bahia, Pantanal, Minas Gerais, Pampa, Tocantins, Amapá, and Acre (Brazil). They have compound, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 3.7 m. They have alternation of generations.
