Golden Leather Fern

Acrostichum aureum (Golden Leather Fern) is a species of perennial herb in the family Pteridaceae. They are native to SãO Paulo, Pernambuco, Ceará, Paraná, Sergipe, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Mata Atlântica, ParaíBa, Maranhao, Espirito Santo, Rio Grande Do Norte, Rio De Janeiro, Puerto Rico, Bahia, The Contiguous United States, Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina, Alagoas, Pará, and U.S. Virgin Islands. They have pinnate leaves. Golden Leather Fern form mangrove swamps. They have alternation of generations.
