Psilotum nudum (Whisk Fern) is a species of perennial herb in the family whisk ferns. They are native to Pantanal, Bahia, Acre (Brazil), Sergipe, Caatinga, Puerto Rico, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Distrito Federal, U.S. Virgin Islands, Pará, AmazôNia, Cerrado, Mato Grosso, ParaíBa, Espirito Santo, Mata Atlântica, Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, Tocantins, Pampa, Rio Grande Do Sul, RondôNia, GoiáS, Hawaii, Paraná, The Contiguous United States, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Pernambuco, SãO Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, Maranhao, and Ceará. They have alternation of generations.
