Castilleja coccinea (Scarlet Indian Paintbrush) is a species of annual herb in the family Orobanchaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves and red flowers. Flowers are visited by Calliopsis coloradensis, American Bumblebee, Southern Dogface, and Black Swallowtail. Individuals can grow to 0.49 m.
