Franklinia alatamaha (Franklin Tree) is a species of shrub in the family Theaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are listed as extinct in the wild by IUCN. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Us Fws Southeast Region. They have simple, broad leaves, white flowers, and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Honey bee and Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. Individuals can grow to 30 feet.
