They are native to Sergipe, AmazôNia, Minas Gerais, Piauí, Espirito Santo, Distrito Federal, Mata Atlântica, Caatinga, Bahia, Alagoas, Pernambuco, Cerrado, Pará, Mato Grosso, Rio De Janeiro, GoiáS, Maranhao, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Ceará, ParaíBa, and SãO Paulo. They have simple, broad leaves.
